SCHEID VINEYARDS DEBUTS NEW WINE TASTING ROOM
ON HISTORIC CANNERY ROW IN MONTEREY

MONTEREY, CA—September 25, 2008—Scheid Vineyards announced today the debut of its newest tasting room on historic Cannery Row in Monterey, California. Located at 751 Cannery Row, directly across from the newly-opened InterContinental The Clement Monterey and just a block from the Monterey Aquarium, the Scheid Vineyards Wine Lounge will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Scheid Vineyards Wine Lounge provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests to relax and taste the award-winning wines of Scheid Vineyards. A stylish design of coffered ceilings, recycled hickory floors, rich mahogany paneling and a rustic Carmel Valley stone fireplace is reminiscent of the history of Cannery Row, yet offers a modern twist of contemporary design. With an expansive wood and stone tasting bar, lounge area with a fireplace, and retail area with a selection of artisan goods, the Scheid Vineyards Wine Lounge offers an upscale wine experience for both locals and visitors. In addition to wine tasting, Scheid Vineyards Wine Lounge on Cannery Row will be offering educational classes, such as the Art of Truffle Making and a Hands-On Blending Workshop where participants craft their own Bordeaux blend, and a regular schedule of both wine club and open-to-the-public events. Wine tasting of four of Scheid’s estate wines will be $10 per person and of Scheid’s reserve wine will be $20 per person, with tasting fees refunded with purchase of wine. Members of Vin’s Wine & Social Club, the wine club of Scheid Vineyards, will receive complimentary wine tasting as part of their membership.
